Rising Star Vineyards operates two vineyards in Central Texas. We began as growers with the planting of a small vineyard in Richland Springs, just north of the Hill Country AVA, in 1999. The vineyard in Rising Star is more than 20 years old and has been supplying wineries across the state with high-quality fruit for many years, a practice that we continue today.

The winery began operation in 2005 and we opened the tasting room in Rising Star in July of 2006 and the tasting room in Salado in the fall of 2010. Our tasting rooms offer unique gift shops with a wide array of wine accessories, gifts and apparel to make your visits even more interesting and enjoyable.

Our Salado location includes a spacious tasting room, beautiful gardens and our Texas Cheesery, a deli-style shop featuring Texas artisan cheeses and food products, and lunches daily from 11 - 3 and extended hours now that winter is over.
We produce Estate wines in small, hand-crafted lots, and we strive to constantly improve our wines and our ability to let the land and the fruit that we grow speak clearly and distinctively in each glass. Our goal is to delight each and every customer.
