Texas Style
At Rising Star Vineyards, we blend the best of the Old World and the New - we grow eight of the finest Old World varietals and make wines in a true Texas style. We Texans have a special attitude and an independent spirit, which we bring to our wine making, so you'll find both traditional and unique wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Barbera, Chardonnay, Muscat, Zinfandel and Chenin Blanc.
Two Tasting Rooms!
Our tasting room and bistro in Salado is open seven days a week at 110 North Main, in the very center of the Village and includes our new Texas Cheesery. The Cheesery is open daily and serves lunches until 3pm, and extended service hours some days. See the Salado location page for specific hours.
Our tasting room at the vineyard in Rising Star has gone back to our regular schedule and will be open on Saturday from 11 to 6 and Sunday from noon to 4pm, with the exception of our WOW Road Trip weekends.

Come be introduced to our newest wines: the light and crisp Viognier and the semi-sweet red Sunstone, which will tickle the palates of all those Sunset lovers. And now the delicious new blush-style wine named Garnet - in the tasting rooms this week!
We produce Estate wines in small, hand-crafted lots, and we strive to constantly improve our wines and our ability to let the land and the fruit that we grow speak clearly and distinctively in each glass. Our goal is to delight each and every customer.
